sendmail support

Would there be interest in adding sendmail support? This would enable using local-only MTAs like https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Msmtp or https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Nullmailer which users may have already configured and avoid issues around needing to support additional authentication protocols (e.g. OAuth2).

I don't think there is a lot of demand for sendmail support as most people use SMTP. Feel free to leave this issue open and people can add their +1 with 👍 or ❤ emojis.
