What is the bug or the crash?

When setting the text alignment in annotations in QGIS 3.40.4, the left, right and centre options align the text in the wrong direction. Left aligns right, right aligns left, and centre aligns left of centre.

Steps to reproduce the issue

Open a new project
Add a base map if wanted
Add an annotation
Change the text alignment from the layer styling panel

Additional context

See images of the issue. There also appear to be issues with text staying within the box, I am unsure if fixing the alignment will also fix this or whether I should submit another bug report.
