Personally, even a simple apk available here on Github would be perfect as I use Android without Google Play (GrapheneOS). Using https://obtainium.imranr.dev/ makes this suggestion very practical.

@LukeWheeldon, that would be better as a separate issue, since GitHub (CI) and Obtanium don't have much relation to F-Droid (CI and/or self-hosted repository) and its requirements.
