ZWA001 Bulb 6 Multi-White

This describes the Z-Wave device ZWA001, manufactured by Aeotec Limited with the thing type UID of aeotec_zwa001_00_000.

The device is in the category of Light Bulb, defining Devices that illuminate something, such as bulbs, etc..

ZWA001 product image

The ZWA001 supports routing. This allows the device to communicate using other routing enabled devices as intermediate routers. This device is also able to participate in the routing of data between other devices in the mesh network.

Overview

Standard form factor and appearance of the light bulb with 800 lm output Tunable white: dimmable from 5% to 100%, tunable from 2700K to 6500K. Possible to be included in groups, scenes, or schedules Suitable for indoor lighting: Corridors, Bedroom, Living Room, etc.

Reset the device :

  • Please use this procedure only when the network primary controller is missing or otherwise inoperable.
  • Led bulb re-power 6 times (between 0.5-2 seconds each time); If the 6th power on, the led bulb flashes twice, which means that the resetting is successful.

Inclusion Information

Add for inclusion:

  • Set the Z-Wave network main controller into adding mode.
  • Power cycle once for led bulb(OFF->ON).The led bulb will flash twice and send node info frame.
  • Wait a moment, the led bulb should be added to the controller. Then the led bulb will flash once when it has been included into the network.

Exclusion Information

Remove for exclusion:

  • Set the Z-Wave network main controller into removing mode.
  • Led bulb re-power 3 times (between 0.5-2 seconds each time).
  • Wait a moment, the led bulb should be removed from the controller. Then the led bulb will flash once, dim to 5% first, and then increased to 100% after 5 seconds.

Channels

The following table summarises the channels available for the ZWA001 -:

Channel Channel Id Category Item Type
Dimmer switch_dimmer DimmableLight Dimmer
Scene Number scene_number Number
Color Control color_color Color
Color Temperature color_temperature ColorLight Dimmer

Dimmer

The brightness channel allows to control the brightness of a light. It is also possible to switch the light on and off.

The switch_dimmer channel supports the Dimmer item and is in the DimmableLight category.

Scene Number

Triggers when a scene button is pressed.

The scene_number channel supports the Number item.

Color Control

The color channel allows to control the color of a light. It is also possible to dim values and switch the light on and off.

The color_color channel supports the Color item.

Color Temperature

The color temperature channel allows to set the color temperature of a light from 0 (cold) to 100 (warm).

The color_temperature channel supports the Dimmer item and is in the ColorLight category.

Device Configuration

The following table provides a summary of the 3 configuration parameters available in the ZWA001. Detailed information on each parameter can be found in the sections below.

Param Name Description
80 Send notifications to associated devices To send notifications to (Group 1) when state change.0 = Nothing.1= Basic CC.
81 Adjust color temperature in warm white color comp available value: 0x0A8C-1387Warm White(0x0A8C(2700k) ~ 0x1387 (4999k))
82 Color temperature in cold white color comp Available value:0x1388-0x1964Cold White (0x1388 (5000k) ~ 0x1964 (6500k))

Parameter 80: Send notifications to associated devices

To send notifications to (Group 1) when state change.0 = Nothing.1= Basic CC. Enable to send notifications to associated devices(Group 1) when the state of LED Bulb is changed.0 = Nothing.1= Basic CC report. The following option values may be configured -:

Value Description
0 Disable
1 Send Basic Report to associated nodes when state

The manufacturer defined default value is 1 (Send Basic Report to associated nodes when state).

This parameter has the configuration ID config_80_1 and is of type INTEGER. This is a read only parameter.

Parameter 81: Adjust color temperature in warm white color comp

available value: 0x0A8C-1387Warm White(0x0A8C(2700k) ~ 0x1387 (4999k)) Adjusting the color temperature in warm white color component. available value: 0x0A8C-1387Warm White(0x0A8C(2700k) ~ 0x1387 (4999k)) The following option values may be configured, in addition to values in the range 2700 to 4999 -:

Value Description
2700 Warm White(0x0A8C(2700k) ~ 0x1387 (4999k))

The manufacturer defined default value is 2700 (Warm White(0x0A8C(2700k) ~ 0x1387 (4999k))).

This parameter has the configuration ID config_81_2 and is of type INTEGER. This is a read only parameter.

Parameter 82: Color temperature in cold white color comp

Available value:0x1388-0x1964Cold White (0x1388 (5000k) ~ 0x1964 (6500k)) Adjusting the color temperature in cold white color component. available value:0x1388-0x1964 Cold White (0x1388 (5000k) ~ 0x1964 (6500k)) The following option values may be configured, in addition to values in the range 5000 to 6500 -:

Value Description
5000 Cold White (0x1388 (5000k) ~ 0x1964 (6500k))

The manufacturer defined default value is 6500.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_82_2 and is of type INTEGER. This is a read only parameter.

Association Groups

Association groups allow the device to send unsolicited reports to the controller, or other devices in the network. Using association groups can allow you to eliminate polling, providing instant feedback of a device state change without unnecessary network traffic.

The ZWA001 supports 1 association group.

Group 1: Lifeline

The Lifeline association group reports device status to a hub and is not designed to control other devices directly. When using the Lineline group with a hub, in most cases, only the lifeline group will need to be configured and normally the hub will perform this automatically during the device initialisation.

Association group 1 supports 1 node.
