914TRL Touchpad Electronic Deadbolt

This describes the Z-Wave device 914TRL, manufactured by Black & Decker with the thing type UID of kwikset_914trl_00_000.

The device is in the category of Lock, defining Devices whose primary pupose is locking something.

The 914TRL supports routing. This allows the device to communicate using other routing enabled devices as intermediate routers. This device is unable to participate in the routing of data from other devices.

Door Lock

Lock and unlock the door.

The lock_door channel supports the Switch item and is in the Door category. The following state translation is provided for this channel to the Switch item type -:

Alarm

Provides the raw alarm value.

The alarm_number channel supports the Number item. This is a read only channel so will only be updated following state changes from the device.

Alarm Raw

Provides the raw alarm status information including alarm type and level in the following json format: {"type":"ACCESS_CONTROL","event":"6","status":"255"}

Provides alarm parameters as json string.

The alarm_raw channel supports the String item. This is a read only channel so will only be updated following state changes from the device. This channel sets, and provides the alarm state as a JSON string. It is designed for use in rules.

Battery Level

Represents the battery level as a percentage (0-100%). Bindings for things supporting battery level in a different format (e.g. 4 levels) should convert to a percentage to provide a consistent battery level reading.

The battery-level channel supports the Number item and is in the Battery category.

Device Configuration

The following table provides a summary of the 4 configuration parameters available in the 914TRL. Detailed information on each parameter can be found in the sections below.

Parameter 31: Auto Buzzer

Beeping sound enabled. Beeping sound enabled. When disabled, keypad buttons light red or amber when pressed.

ON position is factory default.

Note: It is recommended that the beeping sound is enabled during programming. The following option values may be configured -:

The manufacturer defined default value is 1 (ON).

This parameter has the configuration ID config_31_1_00100000 and is of type INTEGER. This is a read only parameter.

Parameter 31: Auto Lock

Automatically re-locks door 30 seconds after unlocking. Lock automatically re-locks door 30 seconds after unlocking. OFF position is factory default. If this switch is turned on, it will be disabled if all codes are deleted from the lock. The following option values may be configured -:

The manufacturer defined default value is 0 (OFF).

This parameter has the configuration ID config_31_1_01000000 and is of type INTEGER. This is a read only parameter.

Parameter 31: Lock LED Status

Door lock status LED blinks every 6 seconds. Door lock status LED blinks every 6 seconds. ON position is factory default. The following option values may be configured -:

The manufacturer defined default value is 1 (ON).

This parameter has the configuration ID config_31_1_10000000 and is of type INTEGER. This is a read only parameter.

Parameter 40: Factory Default

Reset to factory default settings. Reset factory default settings, except for the anti-theft setting.This is an advanced parameter and will therefore not show in the user interface without entering advanced mode. The following option values may be configured, in addition to values in the range 0 to 1 -:

This parameter has the configuration ID config_40_1_wo and is of type INTEGER. This is a write only parameter.

Lock Timeout

Sets the time after which the door will auto lock.

This parameter has the configuration ID doorlock_timeout and is of type INTEGER.

Association Groups

Association groups allow the device to send unsolicited reports to the controller, or other devices in the network. Using association groups can allow you to eliminate polling, providing instant feedback of a device state change without unnecessary network traffic.

The 914TRL supports 1 association group.
