ZL-PA-100 - ZWave

ZL-PA-100 ZL-PA-100

This describes the Z-Wave device ZL-PA-100, manufactured by Z Wave Products Inc. with the thing type UID of zwaveproducts_zlpa100_00_000.

The device is in the category of Power Outlet, defining Small devices to be plugged into a power socket in a wall which stick there.

The ZL-PA-100 supports routing. This allows the device to communicate using other routing enabled devices as intermediate routers. This device is also able to participate in the routing of data between other devices in the mesh network.

Overview

Overview
ZL-PA-100 is designed to provide easy Z-Wave control for plug-in appliances and lighting that require On/Off operation. Simply plug the ZL-PA-100 into any standard outlet and the appliance or lamp you wish to control, up to 1800W, into the ZA-PA-100. Add to your Z-Wave network and enjoy custom scenes and scheduled timed events when you're either home or away.

Inclusion Information

Normally, the sequence is as follows:

  1. Place your network controller into inclusion mode by following the controller manufacturer's instructions.
  2. When the controller is ready, single click the button on the front of PA-100. The controller should indicate that the new device was added successfully.
  3. Once the has been successfully added to your home network, you can move it to the preferred location in the home. If the controller shows it failed, repeat the procedure.

Exclusion Information

  1. Place your network controller into exclusion mode by following the controller manufacturer's instructions.
  2. When the controller is ready, single click the button on the front of PA-100. The controller should indicate that the new device was removed successfully.

  • ON/OFF status and location LED indicator
  • Remotely or manually turns ON or OFF lights
  • Does not block the second AC outlet
  • Z-Wave 500 Series module inside
  • Grounded 3-pin AC power receptacle and plug to enhance safety.
  • Internal resettable fuse to protect from surge current
  • Works with any certified gateway supporting Z-Wave
  • Please find the QR code label with DSK on the bottom of the device

Switch

Switch the power on and off.

The switch_binary channel supports the Switch item and is in the Switch category.

Scene Number

Triggers when a scene button is pressed.

The scene_number channel supports the Number item.

Device Configuration

The following table provides a summary of the 1 configuration parameters available in the ZL-PA-100. Detailed information on each parameter can be found in the sections below.

Parameter 3: Nightlight

Nightlight Operation When value = 0, the LED indicator will be OFF when the connected appliance is ON, and the LED indicator will be ON when the connected appliance is OFF. If value = 1, the LED indicator will be OFF when the connected appliance is OFF, and the LED indicator will be ON when the connected appliance is ON. If value = 2, the LED indicator will be always OFF regardless of the load status. The following option values may be configured -:

1 LED same as Load
2 LED always OFF

The manufacturer defined default value is 0 (LED opposite to Load).

This parameter has the configuration ID config_3_1 and is of type INTEGER.

Association Groups

Association groups allow the device to send unsolicited reports to the controller, or other devices in the network. Using association groups can allow you to eliminate polling, providing instant feedback of a device state change without unnecessary network traffic.

The ZL-PA-100 supports 1 association group.

Group 1: Lifeline

The Lifeline association group reports device status to a hub and is not designed to control other devices directly. When using the Lineline group with a hub, in most cases, only the lifeline group will need to be configured and normally the hub will perform this automatically during the device initialisation.   1. PA-100 supports group one for lifeline communication.
  2. You can only associate one Z-Wave device to group one.
  3. Lifeline association only supports the "manual reset" event.

Association group 1 supports 1 node.
