Here's my Home Assistant notification that displays the snapshot on object detection and then, once the clip finishes recording, adds the clip as an action to view. I'm sure others have done this already - and likely in better ways! - but as I couldn't find something here thought I'd share this to (hopefully) help someone.

Please let me know if something's not clear or right, or if this can be done easier/cleaner/better!! e.g. I tried to use a common script and then a blueprint, but couldn't get the wait_template / wait_for_trigger to work in them... 🤷‍♂️

EDIT: updated MQTT sensor so HA doesn't throw errors whilst there is no mqtt camera data.

So, just to let me better understand.

You have a Home Assistant Supervised Installation on a physical machine?
And on this machine you make another container including Viseron?

I run Home Assistant Container, not OS or Supervised - but I don't think this makes any difference. Viseron was running in another container on the same host.

Is the last_recording_start attribute available in v2.0? I can't seem to find it or similar that denotes the recording file name, in a MQTT topic.

Is there a new way to implement this? The MQTT info in the configuration.yaml throws an error now. How do you get this working with MQTT through the UI?

Depends on what it is you want to achieve, this configuration here is quite elaborate.

I want to do something like this. There's no native HA integration so I am hoping to get HA notifications. But the method laid out in this discussion doesn't work anymore. Got any better ideas?

What i have done is just listen to the binary sensors created for object detection in Home Assistant to send a notification with dynamic content
