Plugin update and compatibility check (Jan 2025)

We need to complete the following set of tasks for Transcoder.

• Make sure it's compatible with the latest WordPress version. (e.g 6.7.1)
• Make sure it's PHP 8.3 compatibles.
• Make sure it's VIP compatible
• Run the PHPCS scan
• Review the open GH PRs created by @umeshnevase and close them with resolution.
• Contributors.MD (Create a Google doc draft and share it for review with PM/PC)

Here are the estimates for the tasks:

WordPress Compatibility

• Make sure it's compatible with the latest WordPress version (e.g 6.7.1)
  • Need to create a site on rt.gw as it needs a hosted site to work and also I need to understand the plugin in depth.
  • Will test thoroughly on the latest WordPress version
  • Estimate: 4hrs - 5hrs

PHP Compatibility

• Make sure it's PHP 8.3 compatible
  • Will run the checks and perform error fixes if any
  • Estimate: 1hr - 3hr

VIP Compatibility

• Make sure it's VIP compatible
  • Will check for VIP compatibility and perform error fixes/updates if any
  • Estimate: 1hr - 3hr

Code Quality

• Run the PHPCS scan
  • Will perform the PHPCS scan and update the code if needed
  • Estimate: 1hr - 3hr

PR Review

• Review the open GH PRs created by @umeshnevase and close them with resolution
  • Following PRs need to be reviewed:
    • Allowed video files with 3g2 extension. #292
    • Fix/phpcs fixes #289
    • Fix/273 warning fix #290
    • Fixed notice: Undefined offset #291
  • Will perform testing and review each PR individually
  • Estimate: 5hr - 9hr

Documentation

• Contributors.MD
  • Create a Google doc draft and share it for review with PM/PC
  • Will prepare an initial draft
  • Estimate: 3hr - 4hr

Total Estimate: 15hr - 27hrs
