Why HTTP request to localhost?

I've seen the following output from backing up with rustic:

I don't understand the warnings. Why is Rustic trying to perform a HTTP request to localhost?

When using the rclone backend, rustic starts a rclone --serve on localhost and then uses the rest backend to connect to localhost.
