How can I test the remote repository accessibility?
For example, that rustic is able to backup and restore from/to gdrive?

You can run something like rustic list keys. The list command doesn't even need a password but returns the result from the backend.

Of course, if you want to test if backup/restore is possible, best is to run a rustic backup / rustic restore as a test :-)

That is bad as the test depends on the size and the time of the backup/restore operations.
