Cross platform GUI App

Please consider making a cross platform GUI app for rustic. I would suggest using Flutter or Tauri to achieve this. I think Flutter is the better choice on performance and does allow you to work with Rust code in the backend.

Thanks a lot for your suggestion!
As the core of rustic is available in separate crates as rustic_core (and rustic_backend), anyone willing to start such an app is warmly invited to do so. I think we can propose to include such an app in the rustic_rs github organization.

Alternatively it could be also included into the rustic binary, but then this should be as separated as the tui feature currently is (and using another feature flag). As always, PRs are very welcome!

I must also say that I don't know if any of the rustic maintainers is willing to work on such a GUI. I personally can say that I am perfectly satisfied with the included TUI (interactive mode) which was mainly added by myself and that I won't be able to spend time on a GUI solution. But if anyone is motivated and comes up with some code, we will have such an app!
