Description

A user receiving an offline IM from a user and logging in may not be able to see friend requests from that user in their next session.

Reproduction steps

Steps to Reproduce

  • Have User A send a direct message to User B while User B is offline
  • Log User B into the viewer
  • Have User B immediately close conversation floater clicking the X in upper right corner of conversations floater
  • Have User A send a friend request to User B
  • Observe no friend request toast is shown to User B
  • Have User B open their conversation floater and observe in the conversation with User A there is no inline friend request shown
  • Have User B log out
  • Have User B log back in
  • Observe now user B sees the friend request from User A in the conversation floater

Expected Behavior

  • User B should see the friend request toast or inline friend request in conversation floater from User A when logging in with an offline direct message from that user and minimizing conversation floater
