• feat: resume_parser.py has no file type validation — passing a non-PDF binary or a malformed file causes an unhandled PyPDF2 exception that crashes the email-generator-service worker

• feat: the APScheduler jobs (scrape every 8h, discover every 24h) run with no distributed lock — if docker-compose scale is used or the scheduler container restarts mid-cycle, duplicate jobs fire simultaneously and create duplicate database records

• bug: contact-discovery-service SMTP email verifier opens a real TCP connection to port 25 on discovered domains — many corporate mail servers block port-25 probes and flag the source IP,getting the user's IP blacklisted by spam protection services

• security: GMAIL_APP_PASSWORD is stored in a plaintext .env file and passed to all Docker containers via docker-compose environment injection — any service in the stack can read the Gmail credential through the process environment

• feat: dashboard.html has no error state UI — when any gateway API call fails (service down, network error), the dashboard shows blank panels with no indication of what went wrong

• feat: contact-discovery-service has no per-company rate limiting for GitHub API calls — discovering contacts for 50 companies in one scheduler run exhausts the 5,000 req/hour GitHub API quota instantly

• bug: GET /api/jobs has no server-side input sanitization on role and stack query parameters — unsanitized substring match enables SQL injection via asyncpg dynamic query construction

• security: SMTP credentials (GMAIL_ADDRESS, GMAIL_APP_PASSWORD) are used directly in the email service without validation at startup — a misconfigured .env allows emails to be sent from an unintended account silently
