Bug description
On iOS, Signal clears its notifications from Apple Notification Center as soon as the app is opened, even if the corresponding conversation is not opened and the messages remain unread in Signal.
This makes Notification Center unreliable as a reminder for unread conversations.
Steps to reproduce
- Receive one or more Signal messages on iPhone.
- Confirm that the notifications appear in Apple Notification Center.
- Open Signal.
- Do not open the related conversation.
- Return to Notification Center.
Actual result: The Signal notifications disappear from Notification Center immediately, even though the conversation is still unread in Signal and the badge count remains.
Expected result: The Signal notifications should remain in Notification Center until the corresponding conversation is actually opened and marked as read.
