Standardize references to FreeSWITCH®

FreeSWITCH® should be referred to using the trademark symbol and with SWITCH in all caps.

From the old style guide:

FreeSWITCH™. You do not have to use the trademark symbol every time. It appears in every instance on the top level page so hopefully that should drive the point home. If you use it once in the About section of a new page that should be sufficient. In many cases the old wiki used the abbreviation FS to represent FreeSWITCH which should be acceptable as long as it is clear what is meant; just make sure it can't be conflated with "file server".

Not:

  • freeswitch
  • FreeSwitch
  • etc

I was going to ask about this actually. FreeSWITCH is now a registered trademark. I wonder if changing it to FreeSWITCH® would make more sense.

Hi @Neethujoymathew, thanks for taking on this issue!

I have updated it with some additional context. We don't need to add a ® symbol to every mention of FreeSWITCH - just the first mention on a given page.

However, FreeSWITCH does need to be capitalized correctly everywhere.

Let me know if you have any questions :)
