BASE_FEE vs GAS_PER_LINK

Can someone please explain the difference between BASE_FEE & GAS_PER_LINK

const BASE_FEE = ethers.utils.parseEthers("0.25")
const GAS_PER_LINK = 1e9

For BASE_FEE we have used parseEthers utility but shouldn't we parse it to Link somehow?

BASE_FEE is a base fee that we have to pay on each request and it is constant at 0.25 LINK, and actually, this is mock that is why ETH or LINK is not mattering here, but on a testnet, you will see, we will deposit the LINK token on it.

GAS_PER_LINK is a calculated price by Chainlink that the node operators will pay when they will perform the functions, and also here we are just giving 1e9 that is too much but because it is a mock, it does not matter.
