Hi all. I've just tried installing predbat; I'm running home assistant via docker, and I've got an existing appdaemon setup also in docker, so used the HACS installation approach as I can't use plugins. As soon as I've added predbat via appdaemon, the appdaemon logs show repeated errors along the lines of: I tried restarting appdaemon and got the same error, though with different modules than before. Any suggestions on where things might have gone wrong? More complete log trace below I'm using Predbat v8.27.27 with HA 2025.11.3. Appdaemon is on 4.5.12, using python 3.12.12 Many thanks |

Please don't use appdaemon install for Predbat, it is pretty much deprecated and not supported any more Instead use the docker install as described in the installation guide |

Thanks. I didn't think the docker install would work with my home-assistant docker install as it talked about being an addon and docker home assistant doesn't support native addons. I didn't realise that addons could still work fine if there's a docker container for the addon, so I learnt something else new today. Anyways, I've got it up and running and now playing with the configuration and setup. Thanks again for the tip - docker install actually suits me much better so a double bonus :-) |

HAOS is really just a packaged docker install and addons are really just docker containers, so the nipar44 docker image is not really an addon, it's a fork of the predbat addon with the HAOS bit stripped out so it will work natively with docker Glad you are sorted now 👍 |
