Fatal error when branch has no commits yet

### 🐛 Describe the bug

When running `meteor` to write the initial commit on a repo, this error is produced:

```bash
fatal: your current branch 'main' does not have any commits yet
Error: exit status 128
```

Expected behaviour is that I could still use the tool without prior commits
