Can metrics-reporter be used in production with Kafka broker and controllers?

Can metrics-reporter used in production with Kafka broker and controllers? The README mentions "Early Release" so I am just confirming.

The Strimzi Metrics Reporter will be supported for brokers / controllers in the upcoming 0.47.0 release. Not sure whether to call it production-ready in 0.47, but you are definitely welcome to give it a try and provide feedback.

We also continue to support the Prometheus JMX Exporter, which you can also use with 0.33.1. Although I would strongly recommend upgrading regardless of how you plan to expose your Prometheus metrics.
