The mod loader doesn't work for me. I have successfully disabled EAC and have put the mod loader in the game folder, but when I launch the game, it just acts as if the mod loader is not installed, just in offline mode. I have the latest version of CameraFix and PauseTheGame in the mods folder, but neither of them work. I don't know if there are any logs in the game folder.

Look for an option called "environmental variables" or "envars" If there's two fields like "key" and "value," "WINEDLLOVERRIDES" is the key and "dinput8.dll=n,b" is the value.

Not 100% sure if something changed, but you're supposed to use "DLL Overrides" under "Runner Options".
Just set the key to dinput8.dll and the value to n,b

edit: I'm stupid, that only works if you add games with the wine runners.

Just wanted to mention that it should no longer be necessary to use the DLL override for the latest versions of GE Proton. It automatically detects mod loader DLLs now, and loads them accordingly. I've tested with this and GE 10-10, and it works without issue.

That's interesting. How'd they pull that off? Do they just automatically prefer natives over builtins or is there a whitelist or something?

So, I was trying to make this work on Linux (CachyOS + Steam + ProtonGE-10-27) with SeamlessCoop and added the dll override out of habit, but it doesn't work. I also tried without the override since it's supposed to work out of the box now; same results.
The logs seem to indicate the loader is indeed loading my mods (I only have UnlockTheFps) :

Everything seems happy, except me and my 60 FPS :3

I do have VSync enabled (couldn't be bothered to create a NVidia custom profile to turn it off) but my monitor is at 120 Hz anyway, so it should at least reach that, right?

Am I doing something horribly wrong? I'm launching ersc_launcher.exe from Steam as a non-Steam game with ProtonGE, no other args than the dll overrides.

EDIT: After writing this, I realize it's probably not a loader problem, but a mod problem. I'll leave it here in case we find a solution that might help someone

Switch to borderless. UnlockTheFPS doesn't work in dedicated full screen.

Oh. Thanks, I didn't even realize it was in Fullscreen mode. Exclusive fullscreen doesn't even exist, technically, on my DE or in DX12, so I assumed I was in Borderless ~

Same, technically. I run the game through gamescope with borders turned off, and had this exact same experience with Seamless. I noticed that the vanilla game had an unlocked framerate, but Seamless didn't, and it was because I didn't 100% match up my graphics settings. But yeah, glad to be of help. :)
