we really need to talk more about the industrial revolution so that we give greater context to the role of the technologist and show how they function in the greater system of their company's "factory"; as such technologists are often no more powerful than a factory worker... often not raising their gaze beyond their own small tasks, often not questioning authority or politically analyzing their own work.
