Is your feature request related to a problem?

When navigating most OS and terminal applications, I've gotten used to using the UNIX keybinds as a replacement for arrow keys.
Unfortunately, they seem to behave unexpectedly in prompts, either being ignored or inserting an invalid character.

Describe the solution you'd like

A clear and concise description of what you want to happen.

The following UNIX keybinds are bound to navigation in the same way that arrowkeys are:

  • Ctrl + P =
  • Ctrl + N =
  • Ctrl + B =
  • Ctrl + F =

Describe alternatives you've considered

A clear and concise description of any alternative solutions or features you've considered.

Continuing to use arrowkeys.

Additional context

Add any other context or screenshots about the feature request here.

As shown in the following video:

  • Arrowkeys work but UNIX keybinds insert invalid characters
  • Arrowkeys and UNIX keybinds work in native system menus
