Limitation still existant?

The main README of this repo has a list of limitations, with the first one being:

Updating a google_cloud_identity_group_membership to remove a role fails with an error (hashicorp/terraform-provider-google#7616).

Is this still the case? The linked issue has been closed, and the PR linked there has been merged.
