Player names get mixed up on radar sometimes #5
Comments
i have had the same issue with LateCompany. I know this is a different mod, but LateCompany also only lets you join a lobby while the ship is in orbit as of a recent update. |
Same issue. I think it's a conflict between more players and late joining. This issue is more than just radar, think dead screen shows as well if not other spots. BepInEx-BepInExPack-5.4.2100 If I recall this shows for dead players as well, it happens when a player leaves and a player joins. Thank you for this excellent mod! Reference similar ticket: |
iirc this is not a morecompany issue. I asked around in the discord/support server for that mod and was informed it's an issue with LateCompany / ShipLobby. |
Very useful mod, thanks!
Just installed this mod and had a 6 hour play session. We've noticed that player names get mixed up sometimes. I'm not sure if it is this mod or one of the others, but all the mods are very simple that we're using. This is the only one that feels like it could be the cause, since joining mid-game is not how the base game operates.
Essentially at a certain point in the night one or more player's names get mixed up on the radar. I am always the host, and in one example I was dead, but my teammate was using the ship radar and saw another alive player as having my name (we all saw that person as having my name.)
There was at least one other instance of this happening where a player had a name of someone that had left the session already.
I don't believe this affects player names above people's heads.. just the names that show up on the radar, but cannot confirm this to fully be the case.
My best guess is that names get mixed up (based on player slot?) when someone leaves the session. Or possibly when someone joins after someone else has left.
Remaking the lobby fixes the issue, but given the intent of the mod is to avoid remaking the lobby, it seems important.
Again, not positive this is the mod with the issue (we haven't experienced this in vanilla ever), but here are the mods we used last night:
BepInExPack 5.4.21
MoreCompany 1.5.1
ScalingStartCredits 1.0.0
ShipLobby 1.0.2
ShipLoot 1.0.0
AdditionalSuits 1.0.2
LethalFashion 1.0.3
SuitSaver 1.0.2
