Generate blog page for X pages only at build time

Hello,
I have 100s of pages for my blog now and sometime it fails to rebuild whole pages due to connection error.
Also, old pages are less viewed.

I wonder if we could control the number of pages we can generate at build time and let other pages to be generated dynamically at run time.

Here is one error I face and breaks all the build.
