With PR in Ariadne.jl and User defined splitting RHS in Trixi.jl we will be able to have a lot of flexibility to run our simulations with generalized split explicit time stepping methods (MIS methods = multirate infinitesimal step methods), as is usually done in most of the modern operational dynamical core today.
