Tiny issue: Icon vs dark chrome themes

I need a chrome addon icon that doesn't look invisible on my dark chrome theme.

Same issue.. (I browsed the issues comments to see if anyone had the same experience and had already posted it.)

Maybe there is a way to use dev mode in Chrome/Brave extension manager? i.e. download the new logo.png and repack and load the extension replacing the icon file with the white logo from here Then I assume also hit 'update'? Never done this, but I will share steps if I am successful. Thanks great plug-in btw!
