What's new

  • Dark Theme has been redesigned!
  • Glow's interface icons have been revamped!
  • Glow's interface has been redesigned by equalizing the inner margins with the inner spacing gap!
  • Portuguese language support added.
  • Chinese language support added.
  • The Hiding Mode feature has been reprogrammed. Instead of showing as many stars as the feature being hidden, it now randomly shows between 10 - 24 characters.
  • The RAM Benchmark Tool has been added to the Tools section. This tool is specially programmed to detect problems that may occur in full performance mode using almost 100% of your memory. The shortcut key is CTRL + R.
  • The Quick Access Tool from very old versions of Glow has been added back to the Tools section! With this tool you can easily access complex settings in your operating system. This tool is designed for Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems. The shortcut key is CTRL + I.
  • The Monitor Dead Pixel Test Tool has been improved. Now, if you press the left mouse button, the color changes immediately. If you press the space key on the keyboard, it stops at the currently active color. If you press space again, it continues from where it left off.
  • The left menu design has been revamped. Now the left menu icons are more minimalistic and the height of the buttons is lower.
  • The top menu design has been revamped. The height is now more minimalistic and the items in it are more responsive.
  • Added the ability to show Windows License Key in the Operating System section. Extra button to copy Windows License Key has been added.
  • .NET Framework Version feature has been added to the Operating System section. It shows the most current .NET Framework version installed on your operating system. .NET Framework supports all versions 4.5 and above.
  • The algorithm for compressing Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) files to ZIP in the Operating System section has been rewritten. It is now much faster and more functional. Moreover, the RAM usage of this feature is almost negligible.
  • The ability to save Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) files to ZIP in the Operating System section has been improved. It now saves the resulting file to the desktop.
  • When the process of compressing the Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) files in the Operating System section to ZIP starts, it now shows the process status in the title bar.
  • In the Memory section, the bar showing dynamic RAM usage has been added, as in the Battery section.
  • The Colors Offered property has been added to the Display Card section. This property shows the number of all colors that the currently selected video card provides to the monitor.
  • The Monitor Bit Depth property has been added to the Video Card section. This property shows the bit depth of the selected monitor.
  • The Assigned IPv4 and Assigned IPv6 Address properties in the Network section now change according to the selected adapter.
  • For Windows 11 24H2, code improvements have been made to make Glow features work more stable and some sections have been refreshed.
  • July 2024 .NET Framework 4.8.1 security update has been integrated.

Fixed Bugs

  • Fixed a critical byte-handling bug in Glow that caused spelling errors in far eastern languages.
  • Fixed a critical bug where the page icon in the top menu would appear blurry at 125% DPI and above.
  • Fixed a bug where the About button in the top menu would sometimes get stuck.
  • Fixed a bug where the About section that pops up when you press the About button in the top menu would go to the background.
  • Fixed an interface bug where the top menu and the left menu were merged.
  • Fixed null rotation error on the theme engine.
  • Fixed a typo that caused the hiding mode activation message to appear even when Hiding Mode was selected as off.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the Wallpaper On button to appear when Hiding Mode is on.
  • Fixed a bug that caused flickering on the edges of select boxes.
  • Fixed a critical bug that caused Glow to become unresponsive when compressing Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) files in the Operating System section to ZIP.
  • Fixed the error that caused the section showing the Download and Upload speed in the Network section to make a parsing error on devices that connect with both Wi-Fi and Ethernet at the same time.
  • Fixed the error in the fonts of the articles showing the Download and Upload speed in the Network section.
  • Fixed an issue with the dynamic battery percentage bar added to the Battery section in v24.10 where the text showing the value in percentages was incorrectly positioned when the Glow window was maximized.
  • Fixed a bug that caused incorrect formatting in the Driver name and Service Names in the Installed Drivers and Installed Services section.
  • Fixed a critical tool management bug that caused all tools to have unbalanced margins.
  • Fixed a critical bug that caused the language to not change in all vehicles despite changing the theme or language in all vehicles.
  • Fixed a "Process Name" conflict bug that caused some tools to conflict with different system software.
  • Fixed an issue where the Download and Upload speed section in the Screen Layout Tool was causing a parsing error on devices connected to both Wi-Fi and Ethernet at the same time.
  • Fixed an issue where the Processor Test Tool would display "test completed" instead of "test ended" when stopped.
  • Fixed the bug that caused the custom size selection feature on the Disk Test Tool to crash when entering a high size.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Maximum Write / Read speed to change when the Disk Test Tool process ended.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the test start button to remain active while the DNS Test Tool test was in progress. The button is now disabled while the test is in progress.
  • Fixed bugs where there were problems with exporting files and getting computer usernames.
  • Fixed a critical bug where Export Information did not create a file when the desktop directory was in One Drive.
  • Fixed a section skipping error when Export Information reports on print sections.
  • Fixed a bug where the Export Information feature would show the battery percentage in the text below the bar when it was in the Battery section.
  • Fixed the error that caused the "/" sign to appear 2 times between the interval showing the process stage in the Export Information process.
  • Fixed a termination bug where Export Information would show "Processing Installed Services..." even after "12/12". It now says "Waiting for save...".
  • Fixed the bug that caused the export button to remain active while the Export Information process was in progress. Now the button is disabled during the process.
  • The error that caused the "HTML lang" property in the file created when outputting as HTML Document to remain empty has been fixed.
  • The error that caused the Assigned IPv4 Address property in the Network section to print the Assigned IPv4 Address property 2 times during the printing process as a Text Document and never print the Assigned IPv6 property has been fixed.

Changes

  • Selection box sizes have been updated.
  • Optimized the spacing between the horizontal property boxes at the top of the Disk and Network section.
  • Changed the colors of the disk distribution display in the Disk section.
  • Reduced the width of the dynamic battery percentage bar in the Battery section.
  • Synchronized the size of the dynamic bar in the RAM section, the dynamic bar in the Battery section and the dynamic bar in the Export Information section in Glow.
  • Limited the custom size selection feature in the Disk Test Tool. You can now select limits from 10 GB to 256 GB.
  • Most of Glow's system requirements have been reduced. It is enough to meet the operating system, RAM and .NET Framework versions. Glow System Requirements

Keyboard key layouts have been reprogrammed. Shortcuts have been set for all keys except language switching.

Info: Glow updates will now come on Tuesday or Wednesday of the 2nd week of every month. There will be 1 update per month. If there is a critical bug, there may be a patch.

What's new

  • Glow now works faster for Intel 10th Generation processors and above.
  • Glow now works faster for Ryzen 7 and above.
  • Full support for DDR5 SO-DIMM (laptop memory) has been added to the RAM section. DIMM (desktop memory) support is already available.
  • The Screen Overlay feature has been added to Glow. This feature shows a system overview screen at the top right of your screen. It will always appear at the top, even if you open other programs. You can drag it wherever you want by pressing and holding the left side of the cross. It is not intended for games. The shortcut key is CTRL + T.
  • DNS Test Tool has been added to Glow. It allows you to test the primary and secondary DNS addresses of the world's most popular DNS Services. It shows you the Ping value. The shortcut key is CTRL + Y.
  • SFC and DISM Automation Tool has been improved. CMD screen colors now change according to Glow's interface theme.
  • The Export Information feature has been redesigned. It is now located at the bottom of the left menu. This provides a more detailed printing service.
  • Processor Usage feature has been added to the Processor section. It shows as a percentage value.
  • Disk Usage feature has been added to the Storage section. It shows the instant write and read speed of the selected disk.
  • The Download and Upload speed features in the Network section have been improved. It now shows how many MB per second you are downloading in addition to the Mbps value.
  • The Used DNS 1 and Used DNS 2 properties have been added to the Network section. These properties show the DNS addresses that your computer uses.
  • A dynamic bar has been added to the right side of the battery section. This bar has a feature that changes its height according to the battery percentage. In addition, a label showing the battery percentage following the bar has also been added.
  • Disk Test Tool has been reprogrammed. It now shows the test time and maximum utilization rates. It now works as it should. It also includes more buffer selection and size features.
  • Adjustments and improvements have been made to Glow's memory management. It has been tuned to use memory more efficiently.

Fixed Bugs

  • Fixed a critical UI bug that caused Glow's UI height to be unstable. Content sections are now positioned with more consistent top and bottom spacing.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the old computer name to appear when the Computer Name property in the Operating System section was later changed.
  • Fixed the bug that caused the Virtualization feature in the Processor section to appear incorrectly on new generation processors.
  • Fixed an issue where the Logical Core Count in the Processor section was incorrect on some processors.
  • Fixed the error that caused the Network Devices in the Network section to show empty value if Realtek and Qualcomm were not present.
  • Fixed the interface error that caused the DHCP Server feature in the Network section not to appear.
  • Fixed the interface error that caused the Connection Speed (Local) feature in the Network section not to appear.
  • Fixed the sizing error that caused the 2nd container in the Network section to remain fixed even though the Glow window grew.
  • Fixed a formatting error that caused the Driver Path in the Installed Drivers section to contain a (").
  • Fixed a formatting error that caused the Service Path in the Installed Services section to contain a (").
  • Fixed an error that caused the Installed Drivers section to be disabled after preloading.

  • Fixed some DPI and sizing errors in the interface of the SFC and DISM Automation Tool.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the Processor Test Tool to crash when stopped.
  • Fixed a bug where the Disk Test Tool would crash when stopped and would not delete the file it created.
  • Fixed a bug that caused an erroneous information message on the screen indicating the end of the test when the Disk Test Tool was stopped while running.
  • Fixed variable name errors that were missing and incorrect in some languages.

Changes

  • Glow's window size has been increased. It now starts at 1024x650 resolution.
  • The cross in the upper right is disabled while the Processor Test Tool is running. Even if clicked, it will not close until the test is finished or stopped.

Removed Features

  • Fixed a sizing bug that caused some text to overflow out of the program and not appear on the screen when launching Glow with different languages.
  • Fixed a graphics rendering bug in the TS Material Engine, the engine that generates the interface, that was persisting for about 8 versions.
  • Fixed a missing code bug that caused the boot process to incorrectly check the English language.
  • Fixed an outdated coding bug that caused 7% unnecessary load on the boot process.
  • Fixed a cross-query bug in the RAM section that caused the RAM MHz speed to appear as MHz instead of MT/s on Windows 11 systems.
  • Fixed a formatting bug that caused percentage display units to appear in front of text in some sections.
  • Fixed a DPI bug where text in the Cache Cleanup Tool would nest at high DPI values.
  • Fixed a DPI bug where buttons in the Processor Test Tool were nested at high DPI values.
  • Fixed a memory leak in the Monitor Dead Pixel Test tool.
  • Fixed a DPI bug that caused the buttons in the About section to nest at high DPI values.

  • Monitor Dynamic Color Range Test Fixed a bug that caused the window size to overflow to the other screen on dual monitor systems when full screen on Windows 10 systems.
  • Fixed an issue where either the Monitor Dead Pixel or Monitor Dynamic Color Range tests were turned on while the other tool was not.
  • Fixed an issue where changing the theme while the Monitor Dead Pixel or Monitor Dynamic Color Range tests were on caused the colors to not change.
  • Fixed an issue where changing the theme while the Monitor Dead Pixel test was on would change the color of the test to the theme color.

What's new

  • An automatic update checking system has been added to Glow. From version v24.07 onwards, all versions will be sent an updated version notification.
  • The Disk Benchmark Tool has been added to the Glow tools. This tool allows you to test all disks on your computer. It shows you how long it took you to test and the write speed. It has extra features such as cache selection. The shortcut key is CTRL + R.
  • The Monitor Dead Pixel Test Tool has been added to Glow tools. This tool allows you to detect if your monitor has dead pixels. Note: A special notification system for epilepsy patients has also been integrated. You can turn it off by pressing ESC while it is running. The shortcut key is CTRL + A.
  • The Monitor Dynamic Range Test Tool has been added to the Glow tools. This tool gives you an environment to notice the colors between the brightnesses on your monitor. You can turn it off by pressing ESC while it is running. The shortcut key is CTRL + S.
  • The ability to show the Microsoft Edge version has been added to the Operating System section.
  • The Blue Screen system in the Operating System section has been improved. Now you can ZIP all the blue screen and error files in your system by pressing the ZIP button and putting them in a folder. The ZIP name is specially created. It is the first feature added to Glow in the world.
  • The Processor Code Sets feature has been added to the Processor section. This feature shows which features your processor has.
  • An extra button Check for Updates has been added to the Settings in Glow's top menu. With this button you can also check for updates after booting. The shortcut key is CTRL + Shift + U.
  • Glow's boot algorithm has been reprogrammed.
  • Glow SuperBootloader feature working logic has been renewed.

Fixed Bugs

  • Fixed a bug that caused the program not to open when the Turkish language file was deleted from the g_langs folder. Now only English is a required language. Other languages are optional.
  • Fixed a bug where the program would not open if any language file was deleted.
  • Fixed a bug in the CPU Benchmark Tool that caused no warning when the Start key was pressed.
  • Fixed a bug in the CPU Benchmark Tool where the custom time typed field would not close after selecting custom time and starting the test.
  • Fixed a critical processing error in Glow's language switching algorithm.
  • Fixed a bug where onscreen notifications were triggered 2 times in a row.
  • A conflict bug on Glow Modules has been fixed.
  • Various security bugs on the Glow SuperBootloader feature have been fixed.

  • CPU Benchmark Tool has been added to Glow. This tool allows you to test your processor at different levels and for different durations. It also gives you a score about your processor. The shortcut key is CTRL + E.

  • Fixed an interface bug that caused the edges of some icons to flicker and appear blurry.

Info: I have been developing Glow for 5 years. Glow has been finalized with v3.00. There will be no new version after that. Glow came as an ordinary software, but it is going as a legend. I was able to get Glow where I wanted it to be, so I'm happy, thank you to everyone who supported it.

What's new

  • Font Awesome in the HTML Print Engine has been updated to version v6.5.1.

  • Various bugs have been fixed and optimized.

Announcement: Happy New Year! Vimera is entering the new year at full speed. With v2.01, the last Vimera patch of the year, Vimera's interface design has been completely revamped.

What's new

  • Glow's multilingual system has been completely reprogrammed. It now has a much more understandable layout.
  • All theme colors of Glow have been edited. Detailed editing of color patterns, including the default theme.
  • All Glow's interface icons have been revamped. They now change according to the theme.
  • The TS Material Engine engine has been added to Glow. This engine harmonizes the themes of all parts of Glow.
  • The working logic of Glow's vehicles sections has been reprogrammed. Now, if you change the theme on Glow while a vehicle is open, it instantly changes the theme of all open vehicles.
  • Added Help section to Glow's top menu. About and GitHub buttons have been added inside the Help section. These buttons support hotkey layout in the same way.
  • About section added to Glow.
  • Glow's Cache Cleanup Tool has been revamped. It no longer shows the file path directly. Instead, it shows what the unit is for. If you hover over it, it shows the file path. Changes
