Ubuntu APT installation - Why Eclipse?

I am installing on Ubuntu 25.04 using APT and notice that there are eclipse package dependencies. I don't use Eclipse and why does it waste the network bandwidth and disk space to download and install this for me!?!

Here is the list of dependencies for oneTBB in Ubuntu 25.04. I cannot find dependency on eclipse there. Can you point me out where do you see that?

These are eclipse plug-ins to support working from the eclipse IDE. As far as I know, they should be optional for installation.

BTW, have you tried installing standalone oneAPI TBB package? It should not have such dependencies.

No but only sudo apt install intel-oneapi-base-toolkit based on https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/tools/oneapi/base-toolkit-download.html?packages=oneapi-toolkit&oneapi-toolkit-os=linux&oneapi-lin=apt

What do you actually need? If only TBB then consider installing the standalone TBB package.
If you need more oneAPI components, then , yes, you can install the Base Toolkit but should be still able to choose what components to install.
