When the taskbar is on the left set to automatically hide, an option is needed to place the start menu at the top of the taskbar with it aligned on the right edge of the taskbar. I'm interested in the start menu being positioned where it was with Windows 10. The existing "Position on screen" Start menu option of "At screen edge" places the start menu at the left edge of the screen which happens to be behind the taskbar when it is set to automatically hide. This hides most of the start menu if you have made the taskbar significanly wide to read the names of the icons. If the task bar is always visible this option correctly positions the start menu at the top and just to the right of the taskbar since the screen edge is also the right edge of the taskbar. The option of Centered at least positions the start menu to the right of the taskbar. But the centered location is not ideal since it is now a good ways away from where you pressed the Start button to display the Start Menu. The Start Menu is briefly placed in the correct location after a restart but then shortly moves to the location specified by the Position on screen preference. This leads me to believe maybe an option is needed to not move the start menu when it is displayed.
I also see this option determines where the search box is displayed when you start typing after the start menu is displayed. The search box positioning will also need to be updated to follow the new preference. With the preference set to centered the search box is not displayed in the center of the vertical start menu on the left but is instead displayed in the center at the bottom of the screen. I'm interested in it also being positioned like it was with Windows 10.
