Before reporting your issue

  • I have confirmed that this issue does not happen when ExplorerPatcher is not installed
  • I do not have "register as shell extension" enabled
  • I have tried my best to check existing issues

Repro ExplorerPatcher versions

Explorer Patcher 69.4
Windows 11 version 26100.6584

When I enable the Weather app on the start bar after some time a process called WebView2 Manager will take up like 10% of the CPU and make the fans on my computer start spinning quite a lot. If I go to properties->Weather and disable "Show Weather on the Taskbar" the process immediately spins down and the machine goes back to normal. If I re-enable it it works again for a bit before eventually that process will spin back up and suck up the CPU resources.

This is a blocking bug for the weather feature for me, though I have to admit weather in general is nice to have for me; the main reason I installed this plugin was for the start menu feature to be able to group pinned start items in groups like Windows 10.

Repro Windows Versions

3rd party tweak software installed

I only have this one
