25H2 26200.6725 `Show Windows build info on the desktop` displays something, but not actual build info.

Before reporting your issue

• I have confirmed that this issue does not happen when ExplorerPatcher is not installed
• I do not have "register as shell extension" enabled

Describe the bug

1. update from windows from 24H2 to 25H2
2. update ExplorerPatcher from 69.3 to 69.4
3. notice wrong windows build info on desktop watermark

Expected outcome

desktop watermark build info should correspond to build info displayed on about page of EP properties window

Actual outcome

desktop watermark build info displays some old and wrong build number, Insider Preview instead of release build, and build number itself is much older than current win build.

Additional info

some ivestigation showed up that wrong build info is built-in into win11 itself:

Not a bug in EP as it just changes a registry value.

Why does it say 26100?

Is because 25H2 (26200) is just an enablement package ontop of 24H2 (26100) which means that it is the same version just with an artifical build jump (in this case by 100, same case would apply to 11 22H2 to 23H2 and 10 20H1 (2004) to 22H2)

Why does it say Insider Preview?

Is because you are enrolled in the insider program (Probably Release Preview Builds) that's why it says "Insider Preview"

What are those letters and numbers next to the build number?

That's the full Windows build (in this case Is Build 26100 from the gemanium_release branch compiled on March 31st 2024 at 14:35)

None of these PCs ever was involved in insider program. But online account itself was enrolled into insider program on another testing PC. But offline account never touch and microsoft login or insiders build, or anyhow touch insider build enrolled account.

Is there some way I can diagnose it better?

ExplorerPatcher doesn't modify branding resources
So what you are experiencing right now is an issue with 24-25H2
