How to make sure cache is being hit?

I have a project that is querying from Cosmos DB. Below is my function:

properties.ts

"use server";

...

export async function getProperties(): Promise<Property[]> {
  "use cache";
  cacheTag(`properties`);
  try {
    const { resources } = await propertiesContainer.items
      .query("SELECT * FROM c ORDER BY c.reference")
      .fetchAll();

    return resources as Property[];
  } catch (err) {
    console.error("Failed to fetch properties:", err);
    return [];
  }
}

How can I verify from NextJS side that the cache is actually being hit?

Interesting, you can console.log, and it'll have a Cache prefix before, showing that it is loading from cached data.

I'll check around if there's other ways.

Hi, so I noticed we already disclosed https://nextjs.org/docs/app/guides/incremental-static-regeneration#verifying-correct-production-behavior NEXT_PRIVATE_DEBUG_CACHE=1 pnpm dev for example. That might help you out.
