For testing purposes I always used the "instant alarm button" from the developer settings (i.e. always a new alarm using the newly set default alarm settings).
With "system alarm volume" I am referring to the alarm volume level that is being changed when pressing the volume buttons while an alarm is sounding (I don't see it listed in the normal system settings). See the screenshot below.
Bluetooth earbuds are connected.
The system Bluetooth media volume level for the earbuds is set to 80%.
The system alarm volume level is set to about 50%.
The GoodLock Sound Assistant module was uninstalled during testing (I also restarted the phone after uninstalling).
Describe the bug
Scenario Settings: Settings > Alarm > Default Settings > Sound and Vibration > (Audio Channel = Alarm | Volume = 0% | Rising Volume = off). Result: Alarm sounds neither over the earbuds nor the built-in speakers. Everything works as expected.
Scenario Settings: Settings > Alarm > Default Settings > Sound and Vibration > (Audio Channel = Alarm | Volume = 20% | Rising Volume = off). Result: Alarm plays over both the earbuds and the built-in speakers. The speakers use the system alarm volume level [50%]. The earbuds use the average of the system Bluetooth media volume level [80%] and the system alarm volume level [50%].
Scenario Settings: Settings > Alarm > Default Settings > Sound and Vibration > (Audio Channel = MEDIA | Volume = 20% | Rising Volume = off). Result: Alarm only plays over the earbuds, using the system Bluetooth media volume level [80%].
Scenario Settings: Settings > Alarm > Default Settings > Sound and Vibration > (Audio Channel = Media | Volume = 20% | Rising Volume = ON [20s]). Result: Same as 3. + Rising Volume setting is not honored on either output.
Scenario Settings: Settings > Alarm > Default Settings > Sound and Vibration > (Audio Channel = ALARM| Volume = 20% | Rising Volume = on [20s]). Result: Same as 2. + Rising Volume setting is not honored on either output.
Expected behavior
Rising volume setting should be honored.
Chrono alarm volume level should always be honored, regardless of whether earbuds are connected or not, and regardless of the system Bluetooth media volume level and the system alarm volume level.
An app setting for specifying on whether to sound an alarm through both the speakers and the earbuds or only the earbuds would be useful.
