App freezes on new architecture (RN > 0.76)

Using RN 0.76.7 & expo SDK 52.

I'm trying to migrate to the new architecture, but things are behaving differently on the new architecture.

Previously, there was a nice slide from bottom animation when opening a document on iOS, now it just appears on the screen in a rather inconsistent way.

Also sometimes, maybe 1 in 10, it completely freezes the app, forcing one to close it.
