Recording from HDMI-IN

There is currently an issue with recording from HDMI-In on the Vu receivers that have the HDMI input.

Summary of results that were posted by someone else:

• VTi image: the recorded video is 720p resolution with no sound
• Original image: the recorded video is 720p resolution with no sound
• OpenATV: the recorded video is corrupted.
• OpenViX: the recorded video is corrupted.
• OpenBH: the recorded video is corrupted.
• Blackhole: the recorded video is corrupted.

Other receivers that have the HDMI input record fine. ET 10K, Golden Interstar LX3, Mutant 2400, Miraclebox Ultra. Source is another E2 receiver so the HDCP issue is not involved

Is this a driver issue as indicated here https://forums.openpli.org/topic/66489-recording-hdmi-in-op-vu-duo-4k/#entry1017389 or are image teams missing some things?

After the above commit by @eriksl , video is recorded and plays back fine, but still no audio. Any pointers to a fix for the audio would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I can confirm, apparently there is no way to fix this in userspace and it seems to be either a driver or a hardware limitation. It would be great if it could be fixed.
