Hi there - the standard mode switch may not work with such an exotic resolution, but you should be able to force-switch the mode (although the desktop will remain cropped). While the app is running, enter this in Terminal:
Then look for the 1920x440 resolution line and its long mode id number and enter the following:
where xxxxx is the long mode identifier number you selected. |

Hello,


I have a small marquee display (11,26 inch) for my arcade machine, that I want to use additionally for some information/news on my MacBook. It's connected via TB/USB-C -> HDMI.
I think I did all the ways shown in discussion/wiki to add a new custom resolution. But all I get to work is 1920x540. 1920x440 will be shown on display mode, u can select it, but nothing happens.
On my windows machine (display connected via DP → HDMI) it works fine. Without any special configuration.
So, who can help?
