upgrade from Amazon Linux 2 to Amazon Linux 2023

Hello! Is there any plans to move to Amazon Linux 2023 images? As i understand, there is a lot of work with this.

We have no such plans at the moment. EOL for AL2 is 2025-06-30 so we still have some time :)

Jenkins is reporting 'You are running Jenkins on Amazon Linux 2. Jenkins stopped supporting Amazon Linux 2 as of 2023-11-16.', so I don't think 2025 is gonna work... already hitting problems with things like NodeJS not working beyond v16 on AL2 (end of LTS is September 11th, 2023 - v18+ need newer LIBC not found on AL2).

same here. I insatlled jenkins using CloudFormation and it is showing "
Operating system end of life monitor
You are running Jenkins on Amazon Linux 2. Jenkins stopped supporting Amazon Linux 2 as of 2023-11-16.
Please upgrade to a supported operating system."

Any progress on this? we will reach AL2 EOL in one month :-(

As of now, Amazon Linux 2 end of support date (End of Life, or EOL) will be on 2026-06-30.

So I think the Jenkins issue is different from the general AL2 EOL.
