Programmatic schema builder

What do you think about the possiblity of building a schema with typescript? In such a way some repetitive tasks might dissapear. For example a developer will be able to provide enums from typescript file and have a single source of thruth for application depelopment and database. Give more ideas if this will be helpfull in some other form
