This should fix #5214 by adding a hack that just
lsof
s the Toil worker process every once in a while, while tolerating various hangs.We still have no real insight into what
lsof
does to un-stick a stuck worker, or why the worker gets stuck in the first place. But this should hopefully help @glennhickey and the other users who have been reporting this stuck-job problem on our Slurm cluster.Changelog Entry
