I'm adding the changes we discussed to the Beginners' Day landing page:

  • Clearer instructions on how to sign up to the tracks
  • Clarified the ticket pricing
  • Added much more detail about the content of DjangoGirls and Humble Data.

We are also looking for **mentors** for Humble Data. Applications for mentors close on May 18th, and successful mentors will be informed by May 25th.

The link below is to the Humbe Data form, and it's the HD section. this probably shouldn't be changed.

At the bottom of this section, would you be able to add a link to the program? The URL should be https://ep2025.europython.eu/beginners-day-unconference once #1267 is merged.

I find it a bit confusing that we use here Beginners' Day and under it Beginners' Day Unconference. I understand what you mean, but I'm not sure how understandable it is to someone who sees it for the first time.

Maybe we could rename Beginners' Day Unconference to The Unconference Track and when referring to it to use The Unconference Track, as a part of the Beginners' Day at EuroPython, ... ? 🤔 Wdyt?

That's a great point! What do you think @dariagrudzien - are you ok calling it "The Unconference" or "The Unconference Day"?

I've changed "Beginners' Day Unconference" to "The Unconference". I believe the only outstanding changes are:

  • Linking the Unconference page once it's done
  • Linking the tickets page once it's done

@clytaemnestra @dariagrudzien @t-redactyl any updates on this? Can we merge it?

I added the label do not merge. It's not ready yet, waiting for the tickets page to be finalized.
