This pull request includes a small corrections for the bundled yaml-cpp library to make it compile cleanly with the Clang 20 compiler. Without this change compilation of the ML-PACE package of LAMMPS on Fedora 42 with Clang instead of GCC fails.
Also some generic binary file extensions and similar are added to the global .gitignore file for added convenience.
