Welcome to my profile!
I do a lot of stuff these days, so below in Sections you can jump to what you might be here looking for. Thanks for checking in on me!
I'm a data scientist who has been working in consulting the last few years. This has been going great because I have gotten into (and still get into) all sorts of different fields, topics, projects, etc. Some work out great, and some don't-- but I always learn something from themm. I'm not just talking about data/coding stuff, but also hobbies, DIY projects, adventures, and so much more! All these experiences help me since I pull from all these different sources and get to synthesize across fields. This keeps my ideas fresh, helps me relate to clients, and avoid a stagnant point of view on things.
I'm also a dad, a friend, home chef/cook, amateur judoka, cartoonist/artist, lego builder, movie nerd, and so much more.
If you are here for any classes I teach or academic work, go here:
- Classes: TBD ⏲️
- Pub. - "A Framework for Intelligent Navigation Using Latent Dirichlet Allocation on Reddit Posts About Opiates": Used topic modeling to demo how this could be useful within the context of social media.
- Pub - "Dimensionality Reduction and Text Mining for Smart Content Filtering of an Online Health Forum": Used geometric data analysis to demo how this could be useful within the context of social media.
- M.S. Thesis: I used some graph kernels as a preprocessing method for text clustering on two different types of documents in this analysis.
If you are here to check out my technical work/code, go here:
- Text Mining the Federalist Papers: I love the musical Hamilton! Here is a little text mining thing I did on the Federalist papers to see how much of the work Hamilton did (and if he was exagerating some or not? 🤔)
If you are here to see some non-technical/communication work, go here:
