Description

This pull request updates the documentation and data for the Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivs 2.0 (CC BY-ND 2.0) license to clarify how commercial use is inferred and to provide a new, comprehensive example. The changes improve both the classification guidelines and the license data, especially around evidence for permissions.

Documentation improvements for evidence and inference:

  • Expanded the SYSTEM_PROMPT guidelines to clarify when inference is appropriate, specifically noting that for Creative Commons licenses, the absence of the NonCommercial (NC) element means commercial use is permitted and should be inferred. Added a detailed example for CC BY-ND 2.0, demonstrating correct extraction and reasoning for permissions, conditions, and limitations. [1] [2]

License data enhancements for CC BY-ND 2.0:

  • Added commercial-use to the list of permissions in CC-BY-ND-2.0.json and provided both verbatim and inferred reasons, explicitly referencing the absence of the NC restriction. [1] [2]
  • Improved evidence phrasing for distribution and private-use permissions to better align with the new documentation guidelines.
  • Escaped quotes in the trademark-use limitation for consistency and clarity.
