Installation Guide

This page documents the steps to perform an installation of NFSCO.

Important

If you are updating an existing installation, start from step 5 of this guide.

On Windows

1. Download and install DirectX 9.
2. Download Need for Speed: Carbon version 1.4 from MEGA, MediaFire, or Google Drive.
3. Move the downloaded archive inside the directory you would like to install NFSCO to. In this guide, we will be using C:\Games\Need for Speed Carbon.
4. Extract the archive. The resulting directory structure should look like this.

5. Temporarily disable your anti-virus software, as NFSCO's executable files may trigger false detections.
6. Download NFSCO.
7. Move the downloaded archive inside the directory you would like to install NFSCO to.
8. Extract the archive. The resulting directory structure should look like this.

9. Execute bootstrapper.exe to play NFSCO.
