Python

The PanDA Pilot is written in Python. As of March 2021, the Pilot 2 is Python 2.7 and Python 3.7 compliant. Later this year, it is however expected that support in the PanDA Pilot for Python 2 will be dropped. At that point, PanDA Pilot 3 will be born (and moved to the appropriate new GitHub repository). Pilot 3 will not keep any of the older code constructs that are Python 2 compatible and usage of Python 2 libraries/modules will be removed. Pilot 2 will always be Python 2 compliant, but further development will be halted.
