refactor: improve type checking

[voicis]

Created one time mapping for type name and type to avoid wrong assumptions about types. It also makes it easier to catch typos in type names and does not require to explicitly specify the type.

Also disabled no-undef rule, which is not recommended for typescript projects as the compiler already does that check.
