Proxy support has been introduced in Skoice 3.2.4. From this version onward, you can use a single Skoice proximity voice chat across all Minecraft servers in your proxy. Velocity is the only proxy we currently support. Only single proxy setups are supported at this time.
Note: We highly encourage you to follow these few steps very thoroughly in order to get Skoice working properly.
- If you're already using Skoice without proxy mode, copy and set aside your
Skoicefolder from yourpluginsfolder. We'll use it again later to preserve your configuration. - Remove Skoice from your Minecraft servers if installed on any of them. You'll need to delete the Skoice .jar file, as well as the
Skoicefolder.
- Download the latest version of PacketEvents and drop the file into your Velocity
pluginsfolder. - Download the latest version of Skoice and drop the file into your Velocity
pluginsfolder. - If you've set aside your previous Skoice folder, drop it in the same place too.
- If you don't already have a Velocity permissions plugin, such as LuckPerms, install one. The Skoice configuration permission is
skoice.manage. - Use the in-game command
/skoice configureto configure Skoice. This also allows you to check that everything is OK if you've reused yourSkoicefolder.
- Ensure that you have removed Skoice from all your backend servers.
- No additional configuration is required on these servers. You're done!
