This repository is the public code and reproducibility artifact for the FTA 2026 paper:
Enhancing Bug Report Templates in the TianoCore UEFI Firmware Development Community
The work studies firmware-specific structure for TianoCore EDK II bug reports, including regression status and affected CPU architectures, together with advisory triage information shown to human reviewers.
The artifact contains:
task-3.1a/contribution-package/— proposed EDK II issue-form YAML, rationale, structured-report handoff contracts, exporter, and tests;task-3.1a/corpus-analysis/— frozen June 30, 2026 snapshot of 92 GitHub-native, closed,type:bugEDK II issues, manual coding, methodology, fetch script, and generated figure;study-app/— the blinded A/B comparison application, fixed public issue/title fixtures, example response, and tests; andcollaborator-task-1.1/— the exact TianoForge-related collaborator snapshot bundled with the review artifact.
The maintained TianoForge implementation and its broader evaluation are available separately at https://github.com/TianoShield/TianoForge. TianoForge outputs used in the A/B study are real pipeline outputs. Nazanin Siavash is a co-author of the paper and contributed this work.
Raw participant/interview records are intentionally excluded because they may contain identifying information.
The frozen 92-issue corpus contains:
- 11 issues labeled as regressions;
- 35 issues mentioning architecture information; and
- 16 issues in which architecture information is trigger-specific or root-cause-specific.
The corpus is a time-frozen research artifact. Running the fetch script later queries the current GitHub state and will not recreate the historical snapshot byte-for-byte.
cd task-3.1a/contribution-package

The publication package is organized as focused archives:
corpus-and-coded-analysis.tar.gz;study-stimuli.tar.gz;structured-report-fixtures.tar.gz; andtask1-triage-data-and-results.tar.gz.
The final Harvard Dataverse DOI will be added here after the unpublished draft is reviewed and released. The same archives will be attached to the GitHub release replication-data-v1.
This repository is a de-anonymized, cache-cleaned export of the artifact used during double-blind FTA 2026 review. The reviewed snapshot was published as ac0395709123/tm6508907054 at tag review-artifact-v1. Personal paths, account identifiers, notebook execution metadata, and original development history were not reintroduced.
