HT: Steps to produce the Boot CD from scratch
9 easy steps to produce the Boot CD from scratch...
1.) Download the Ultimate Boot CD
From: http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/download.html
2.) Download the LiveCD from ReactOS
From: https://www.reactos.org/download
For better USB-Support take a VGal-Build: http://vgal.ru.com/category/reactos/
Or use one of our builds from https://github.com/UWBCD/UWBCD-ReactOS/releases and jump over to step 8.)... ^^
3.) Create a ReactOS-USB-Boot-Stick with Rufos
Download Rufos from: https://rufus.ie/
You can also use our VHD-Files from https://github.com/UWBCD/UWBCD-ReactOS/releases. ;-)
USE FAT32 AS FILE-SYSTEM! Reason: https://www.reactos.org/wiki/File_Systems#NTFS
IF YOU WANT TO CREATE VHD-IMAGES, USE A SMALL STICK, BECAUSE IT'S A 1:1-COPY!
4.) Collect your Software
You can also use our collections from https://github.com/UWBCD/UWBCD-ReactOS/releases. ;-)
5.) Copy your software to the stick
Copy your software to a folder on the stick.
Reason: https://www.reactos.org/wiki/File_Systems#NTFS
6.) Install your software
Boot your stick and install your software.
You can now...
7a.) Create a VM
Therefor you create with Rufos a VHD-Image and follow this guide to make a VM out of it:
http://reflect.macrium.com/help/v5/how_to/imgtovhd/create_a_virtual_machine_using_imgtovhd.htm
You can also use our VHD-Files from https://github.com/UWBCD/UWBCD-ReactOS/releases!
Please read also: https://github.com/UWBCD/UWBCD-ReactOS/wiki/HT:-Set-up-a-ReactOS-VM
And/Or...
7b.) Copy your stick into the ISO
Copy the content of your stick with UltraISO into the empty ISO-File.
Use this empty ISO because it includes the original ReactOS-Bootloader 'FreeLoader'!
https://www.ezbsystems.com/ultraiso/index.html
https://github.com/UWBCD/UWBCD-ReactOS/blob/master/ReactOS_-_Empty_ISO/ReactOS_-_Empty_ISO.iso
https://reactos.org/wiki/FreeLoader
8.) Customize your UBCD
Follow this How-To about customizing the UBCD: http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/customize.html
You can use the file in the folder UBCD_-_Config_File_for_ReactOS in our repository as a draft!
9.) Bring the UWBCD-R to a CD/DVD/USB-Stick
Follow the wiki https://github.com/UWBCD/UWBCD-ReactOS/wiki/3.)-Using-the-Boot-CD.
